Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the Money Well Spent mobile application (the “App”). It explains what information the App handles and how. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

We do not collect any personal information. The App does not require an account, a sign-in, an email address, or a phone number to work.

The expenses, amounts, categories, notes, and budgets you enter are stored only on your device, in a local database. This information is never sent to us or to anyone else.

All of your data lives in local storage on your phone (an on-device SQLite database). The App is designed to work fully offline and does not transmit your records over the internet.

Because your data is stored on your device, it is protected by your device's own security (such as your screen lock) and is included in or excluded from your device's backups according to your system settings.

The App lets you export your expenses (for example, as a CSV file) and share them using your device's standard share feature. This only happens when you explicitly ask for it, and you control where the file goes. Once you share a file with another app or service, that destination's own privacy practices apply.

The App contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. We do not profile you and we do not use your data for marketing.

The App requests only the permissions it needs to function — for example, access to storage when you export or share a file. It does not require access to your contacts, location, camera, or microphone to track expenses.

You are in full control of your data. You can delete individual expenses inside the App, erase all app data from the App's settings, or uninstall the App to remove its local database from your device. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Since the App collects no personal data at all, no such information is gathered from any user.

If the App adds optional features in the future that change how data is handled (for example, optional cloud backup), we will update this policy and revise the effective date above before those features are enabled.
